It is important to note that not all samples will be accepted. In cases of stains, you will need to cut out the stain and send the stained area. Please contact us for a thorough consultation with our customer support team about any samples you plan sending.

How does an infidelity test work?

The most common way is by examining stains found on underwear, bed sheets and or clothes. Other samples that can be submitted include used condoms, feminine hygiene pads etc.

Firstly we can check the garment for Multiple Gender presence; this is done by profiling any stains found under UV light and microscopic examination for traces of male and female DNA. The sample could contain male DNA, female DNA or a mix of DNA from different people. We can then compare any DNA found to your own oral swab DNA sample to see if the DNA matches yours or not.

The Human Tissue Act

It is important to be aware that in the UK the Human Tissue Act regulates the collection and analysis of any human tissue. This includes any stain of biological material not matter how small. In order to send a sample for analysis, the person or donor of that sample must give their consent in writing in order for us to test their sample. Furthermore, in order to be fully compliant with the Human Tissue Act, the donor of the sample must also be made aware of how their DNA sample will be used. Failure to comply with the Human Tissue Act is a criminal offence.

Infidelity DNA testing: Will our test confirm infidelity?

It is important that you understand that as a DNA testing company, we provide scientific answers. An infidelity DNA test can tell you if a DNA sample contains male or female DNA or whether two different DNA samples belong to the same individual. We cannot however, comment on whether infidelity has actually taken place or not. The results are there for your full perusal and you will need to make your own inferences and conclusions. Once the DNA samples are at our laboratory, you will receive your comprehensive DNA analysis report in 10 working days.

Semen Detection Test

A semen detection test is quick and simple test that will enable you to confirm the presence of semen. If you do not require a full DNA test but just want to know if a strain contains semen or not, check out our semen detection test.
