Glossary | DNA Paternity Testing | easyDNA | EasyDNA UK

Paternity means establishing whether an alleged father played a role in a child’s conception or not. In law, it means getting a father to acknowledge a child as his own and take on legal responsibilities as father. A DNA paternity test has become the most reliable method of establishing biological relationship between a father and child. The test can easily be done from home using a home kit if done for curiosity purposes. A legal paternity test is required should one need to go to court and prove that an individual is the biological father. The legal test involves a number of steps which need to be rigidly adhered to and most DNA testing companies will offer this type of test too.
