Y-Chromosome Test

Males have one Y- Chromosome paired with an X- Chromosome.  The Y-chromosome carries little genetic information besides maleness.  However, the fact that this chromosome is only found in males, means that it can be used to test biological relationships or ancestry research.  To discover more about what we refer to as Y- STR Testing visit our DNA Relationship Testing Page.
