A DNA profile is your personal and unique form of genetic identification. What we do in this test is map your 16 marker genetic profile. Whilst many of your identification documents such as your passport could be forged, your DNA profile is unique to you and no other person can have your same profile (unless they are your identical twin). You can then use this profile for several purposes which could be either legal or personal.
DNA profiling, sometimes referred to as DNA fingerprinting, is a type of analysis which is very much analogous to the tests used by forensic teams to help identify victims or track down criminals. Using a highly advanced method of DNA replication and amplification known as polymerase chain reaction, we are able to map your DNA profile in much the same way as one sees in forensic science.
